Interactive Illusions
Interactive Illusions is an art installation that plays with a person’s perception of reality. Through the use of reflective surfaces and based on the concept of infinity mirrors, an illusion of a tunnel was created. Infinity mirrors are usually static works of art, and, to leverage the experience, Interactive Illusions was built in a way that allowed the viewer to interact with it. Moving objects were inserted into the installation to increase the perception of the tunnel's infinity. Using knobs, users could control lighting patterns, the direction and speed of the objects' rotation and the angle of the interior mirror (making the tunnel look like it was bending).
